533 Doe Defendants in 9 Porn BitTorrent Lawsuits

LOS ANGELES — More porn BitTorrent suits were filed in the past week by First Time Videos, K-Beech, Hard Drive Productions and Elegant Angel.

In nine suits filed in California and Pennsylvania since Wednesday of last week, the four adult entertainment companies targeted 533 John Doe defendants, attempting to seek their identities through their  Internet service providers.

First Time Video had a single suit targeting 95, Hard Drive Productions filed three cases against 253, Elegant Angel sued 61 in two suits, K-Beech filed two suit against 114.

The company with the largest number of defendants in just one suit the past week was Hard Drive Productions, which sued 130 at U.S. District Court in San Francisco for trading "Amateur Allure — Natalia."

Hard Drive Productions has been one of the top litigating porn companies against infringers who share content through peer-to-peer networks.

Since September 2010, the label has filed 31 lawsuits against 2,659 porn BitTorrent defendants.
